Am I your candidate? I'm sure you have questions and I'm here to answer them:

-
Provo is part of who I am. I have lived and worked here for more than 40 years.
-
With 6 years of entrepreneurship in Provo, I understand the challenges and what it means to help build businesses in this economy.
-
Being a Parent of three, raised and educated exclusively in our local school systems, I understand what Provo family is and what it means to try to create the best future for them.
-
Taking the role of manager for 25 years, with teams both large and small, in the restaurant industry, retail, and ultimately Technology for the last 15 years, I understand how to head up an organization, motivate people and build infrastructure.
-
As a manager of global teams, living in Ireland for several years and supporting the world, I know the global community.
Provo is a beautiful city, and we have come a long way. Even so, It's time for new perspectives.

I want to create the next thing together. It will be ‘Mutch’- Better for Provo.
Regarding Your Vote:
Even if you firmly believe you can't influence the race with your one vote, vote anyway. Make us see you. You exist, you care, and everyone should KNOW it.
You're not too old to care and you're not too young to count. You matter.
Whatever your opinion and politics happen to be, there's more than you know who share your positions.
Join me in screaming into the wind. If enough of us do it we can be heard.
Also, if you don't like me you're going to have to do it to keep me out of office :)
Regarding Hard Work:
Most of us are no strangers to hard work. I imagine we can all agree life takes effort. It's nearly impossible to get ahead without it.
Hard work isn't enough though. Working at something which produces results matters and everyone in Provo deserves to have their work benefit them.
Nothing is more expensive than poverty. Nothing is harder work than homelessness. Neither of those things lift our city up. No child (in fact no one at all) deserves to live that way.
We need to create opportunities which make the work matter. Make it possible. We have work to do, Let's do it together.
Regarding Water Conservation:
Utah is facing a water infrastructure and shortage issue and Provo is no exception.
I hear talk of obtaining external money to fund Provo infrastructure replacement and expansion. As well as talk of restricting 'high volume users'.
My questions about those approaches are many, but first and foremost, who are we identifying as high volume and what measures would be taken to curtail that? Are these households? It feels like that's what is implied.
There are other places water is being wasted, golf courses come to mind or our parks are another where dryscaping and other efforts might make huge impacts . Is residential water the best place to start? I agree we all need to do our part to save water, but let's get the biggest bang for our buck so to speak.
So far as external money is concerned, who's money and under what terms? Have we examined our budgets to see if we already have the money? Are the priorities for our resources being carefully examined?
I am in no way saying that external money is completely unnecessary or that household conservation isn't needed.
What I AM saying is that those are not complete solutions.
Regarding Our Future Economy:
I think it's completely possible to host molten salt nuclear for Provo.
Imagine the infrastructure enhancement. Electric rail around the lake, transportation from the airport to the city, (an issue in itself) lower power costs for all, and an attractive foundation for industry and tech.
There are data centers which don't use water to cool. They still need power.
Provo loses talent and innovation.
Imagine if we had:
-Almost unlimited power
- a robust airport
- great public transportation
- hotels and entertainment (yes I know, already developing)
- buildings and dual fiber ring service for internet.
Imagine the business we could do!
